About the project

Raven Renewables was contracted to deliver a solar panel and battery storage unit project for Serosep, a national Microbiology Diagnostics specialist company.

A total of 158 solar panels were installed to two of the businesses’ manufacturing units in Crawley, alongside 30kWh of battery storage devices.

The retrofit project was designed to allow Serosep to generate most of their own electricity, with projections showing the combined system could save almost £900,000 in electricity bills over 25 years. Surplus energy would be stored in the battery storage units, with any unused energy sold on to the grid.

Project calculations predicted that installation costs would be recouped in just six years.
